The anti-doomscroll app

Stop scrolling.
Without the shame.

Interruptus gently catches you when you fall into the doom-scroll — and quietly celebrates every time you put the phone down. No streaks to break. No red guilt screens. No lectures.

How it works

It interrupts the spiral — it doesn't lecture you.

i.

It catches the spiral

A calm interrupt the moment you fall into the scroll-hole — not forty minutes later, when the damage is done.

ii.

No shame, ever

No streaks to break. No red. No “you failed.” Just a nudge that's quietly on your side, every single time.

iii.

Wins add up

Every time you stop is the win we count. We only ever measure what went right. That's the whole point.

Why another screen-time app?

Because the others are built to make you feel bad.

Streaks you'll inevitably break. Red warnings. Guilt dashboards. The research is clear: shame doesn't change behavior — it just makes you delete the app.

Every other app
  • Streaks that punish one slip
  • Red screens and guilt alerts
  • Dashboards that shame your numbers
  • Rigid blocks you learn to dodge
Interruptus
  • A gentle interrupt, mid-spiral
  • Warm, calm, never punishing
  • Counts only your wins
  • Built to be on your side

It interrupts, it doesn't lecture. It celebrates wins, it never punishes slips.

“I built Interruptus because I was tired of losing whole evenings to a feed I didn't even enjoy. It's in active beta and I'm shaping it around real testers. Join early and you'll genuinely influence what it becomes.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Is the beta free?
Completely free while we're in beta. You'll be among the first to shape it.
Is it iPhone only?
For now, yes — Interruptus runs through TestFlight on iPhone. Android isn't on the roadmap yet.
Can you see what I do on my phone?
No. Interruptus uses Apple's on-device Screen Time framework — your activity never leaves your phone, and we never see it.
When will I actually get in?
We invite testers in small batches so every voice gets heard — usually within a week or two of signing up. Referrals jump you up the line.
